My first job back in Iceland after film school was to document a concert with a local band, Vinir Dóra, who were playing with the American blues legend, Pinetop Perkins. We shot some interesting footage of the old man among herds of drunk Icelandic teenagers in downtown Reykjavík. By adding some interviews I managed to mask what was essentially a concert video as a documentary. And that got it shown at RUV (National TV) and landed me a job there as a director soon after.
