I really loved this idea that came from my old friend Þorsteinn Guðmundsson. Clearly a situation where it comes in handy being able to call collect. The year after we made this, a slightly drunk guy came up to me at a bar and introduced himself as part of the marketing department at Siminn. “You’re the one who directed the cat commercial, right?”, he said. “Yes”, I proudly replied. “It’s the worst ad ever, ever done for Síminn!” he proclaimed “It is just weird!”. I was so amuzed. The cat was a celebrity, having starred in Björk’s video, Triumph of a Heart by Spike Jonze.
